Music, Creativity & Wellbeing
Music, Creativity & Wellbeing is a project investigating wellbeing impacts of community music participation for children and young people who have additional support needs.
This is a partnership with Limelight Music, who are Scotland’s largest employer of disabled musicians and have 30 years of experience delivering participatory music workshops. Other partners include the Pyramid, visual artist Jean McEwan, cross-arts practitioner Brian Hartley and Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra. Schools inlcude Alloa Academy and Langlands Primary School.
Workshops are funded by The Robertson Trust, Creative Scotland and the Anderson and Yorkhill Community Fund. Una’s time on this project is funded by the British Academy as part of her Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Reid School of Music, Edinburgh University.
